9/A – European lobster - Homarus gammarus

A mighty structure and very large claws are the trademark of this shellfish with a spotted blue body, with yellow shades and long red sensorial appendixes. It can reach a size of over 90 centimeters in length and 10 kilos in weight - and is not very common in the Mediterranean. It lives in rocky environments and mobile beds at depths varying from 10 to over 100 meters.
