9/D – Box crab - Calappa granulata

With its typical pink body and evident reddish-brown spots on small protuberances of the shell, which give it its common name, the calappa has two strong claws that are indented on the top. It lives on sandy beds, almost always buried in the sediment, this characteristic makes it difficult to detect.
