13/A – Pentagon sea star - Ceramaster placenta

Also called "biscuit star" because of its characteristic pentagonal shape and its marked thickness and very compact consistence, this unusual-looking orange star lives in the deep zones of the reef, beginning at a depth of 35/40 meters. Quite rare throughout the Mediterranean, it is found more commonly in the most southern waters.
